⚠Ask the driver one question before you book himthis decides the arrival
Does he hold a Comune di Ravello ZTL permit? Get it in writing. Ravello’s restricted zone runs 24 hours a day with four camera-controlled entry points, and two of them sit on the road to your hotel. Only taxis and private-hire cars holding a permit from the Ravello council may drive in.
Without one, your driver legally stops at the edge of town or the public car park below the Duomo, and you walk two large suitcases up from there. A Sorrento- or Amalfi-licensed driver is the likely miss. Get Ravello are based on Piazza Duomo in Ravello itself, which makes them the most likely to hold it.
The good news: a car can reach the hotel door. The hotel’s own directions end at an arch, where a porter takes the luggage and a valet takes the car. You do not cross the pedestrian centre. One call to the hotel confirms the drop point and asks them to sort the driver’s access.
Capri is an island, so this is always a boat plus a car. Three ways to do it.
Ferry to Amalfi, then a carDo this one
The 11:45 Alilauro is the only Capri to Amalfi sailing all day that does not stop at Positano first, so it is one clean 50-minute crossing. It lands at Molo Pennello in the middle of Amalfi, and Ravello is 20 minutes up the hill from there.

Book the bigger car for two large casesOnly 7 km of the coast road instead of 39. Alternate-plate restrictions run every day in September on that road; taxis and private hire are exempt, but it tells you what the traffic is like.
The fallback, and the one to switch to if the sea is rough. Sorrento sailings run more than 30 times a day on the sheltered side of the peninsula and are the last thing to stop. The catch is the road: 39 km of the Amalfi coast road instead of 7.

One quote is a trap. Taxi Service Sorrento advertise “from €170”, but that is a deposit. Their own page then excludes the night supplement, extra stops, special tolls and the Ravello zone pass, and publishes the price of none of them. Ask for a written all-in total or use someone else.
Sailing times will move. The timetable above is this week’s, not September’s. The route definitely runs on the 18th, the operator seasons confirm that, but re-check the exact departure about ten days out.

Late September is the edge of the season here, so the useful thing is not what exists, it is what is still open. Three places worth going to are already shut, and one of them for good.
⚠Do not let anyone book these threeall closed
Somu closed permanently. A starred restaurant ten minutes from your hotel, gone from the 2026 Michelin guide, chef moved away. Half the lists online still recommend it.
Phi Beach finished 12 September and Nikki Beach on the 13th, both before you land. One booking site still shows Nikki as open through October. It is not.

The star, in your own hotel, on the panoramic terrace. Chef Pasquale D’Ambrosio makes the ceramic plates himself. Open all week you are there, which almost nothing else here can promise.
The special-occasion night, on the old harbour at Porto Cervo, about 20 minutes away. Their own site gives the season end as 29 September, so you are inside it by five days.
Fish and a big terrace on the hill above Porto Cervo, going since 1994. The only place on this list confirmed open year round, so it is the one that cannot fall through.
The 2026 opening everyone is talking about, right on the water at Porto Vecchio with its own jetty. Also the riskiest booking on this page.

Call before you count on itThey publish no closing date anywhere, and Langosteria’s other seasonal places usually shut mid-September. Also: the number circulating online as theirs belongs to a booking agency, not the restaurant.
Inland among the olives on the Arzachena road, since 1960. Suckling pig on the coals and grilled meat, a veranda, a car park, and no scene whatsoever. Materially cheaper than everything above.
The hotel’s own beach club at Li Mucchi Bianchi, reachable by land or its own pier, open 11:00 to 01:00. Given everything else nearby is shut or unverifiable, this is the answer rather than a compromise.
September rate, the cheaper tierWorth knowing before you ask: as a hotel guest you do not pay a bed price, you commit to a minimum spend on food and drink. If the hotel tells you loungers are simply included, that contradicts their own published 2026 rate card, so push back.
A Mare and Smeralda Beach at Liscia Ruja, and the Cala di Volpe and Capriccioli clubs, are all listed as running to late September, which is exactly the week in question. None of them publishes a closing date.

01Stay in the city, not by the airportmy recommendation
The airport hotel looks like it removes the risk. It does not. The Hyatt is 8 km from the terminal, so you still get in a car, still deal with kerbside, still need that car to turn up. It turns a 30-minute drive into a 10-minute drive. It does not turn a drive into a walk, and there is no walk-to-terminal luxury option at Barcelona at all.
Leave Passeig de Gràcia at 09:00, allow 40 minutes, and you are at T1 by about 09:40 for a 12:20 flight. Even a bad morning still lands you two hours clear. What it costs to be by the airport is the entire evening: no dinner worth having, no Gaudi, and a convention district instead of Barcelona.
What would change my mind: if either of you is worn out after Sardinia and wants zero thinking on Friday. Then the Hyatt at €235 is a real five-star and you leave at 09:45. That is the whole trade.

1. The booking is under Kayla Bennett and shows one guest. There will be two of us, Forest Zukerman and Kayla Zukerman. Please add the second guest and confirm what that changes on the rate, breakfast and city tax.
2. Dinner on all three nights, two people, around 20:30. We would like one evening at Rossellinis. For the other two we are considering Il Flauto di Pan, Sensi in Amalfi and La Caravella. Please book what you can and tell us what you would recommend.
3. The Clubhouse by the Sea on the 19th and 20th, for two. We understand access is complimentary for guests but subject to availability, so please reserve us in. Please confirm the shuttle times and that the club is open on our dates.
4. A car on Monday 21 September. We need to leave Ravello at 07:00 for Naples airport, as our flight is at 10:30 and bag drop closes at 09:50. Please arrange this, confirm the price, and tell us where it collects us.
5. On arrival on the 18th, where does a car set us down, and can you help with luggage from there?

We arrive Monday 21 September and leave Thursday 24 September, two guests, Forest Zukerman and Kayla Zukerman. I have written to reservations separately to shorten the stay to the 24th.
1. Transfers. We land at Olbia at 11:40 on Monday 21 September on easyJet, with two large suitcases. Please arrange a car to the resort and confirm the price. We fly out of Olbia at 17:05 on Thursday 24 September and will need a car back.
2. A full day on the water is the thing we most want to do. Please quote a private full day charter routed into the La Maddalena archipelago, with a skipper and lunch on board, for two. Tell us the boat, the price, and whether the 22nd or the 23rd is the better bet for weather.
3. Sun loungers on the main beach on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd. Are loungers and cabanas included for guests or charged? If they are charged, what do they cost?
4. Dinner on all three nights, two people, around 20:30. One evening on the property if you recommend it and two out. Please suggest what is genuinely still open in late September around Porto Cervo and Baja Sardinia, and book what you can.
